Rep. Kind discusses support for veterans at town hall meeting

Eau Claire, Wis. (WEAU) More needs to be done to support our veterans after they return home from their service. That's the message being sent by Representative Ron Kind ahead of Veterans Day.

Kind made the remarks Friday at a town hall event in Eau Claire. As part of the event, vets were able to share their stories and talk about the challenges they have coming back to civilian life.

Representative Kind says he uses these discussions as a building block for new policies aimed at helping our service members.

Kind says, “By having forums like this and encouraging veterans to come out and share their ideas and problems they are having is where the policies needs to start.”

On top of his stop in Eau Claire, Kind also held another town hall event Friday in La Crosse.
