BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Rice Lake man is charged in Barron County after an undercover child sex sting.
46-year-old Douglas Wiseman is charged with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and attempted sexual assault of child younger than 16.
According to the criminal complaint, Wiseman communicated with who he thought was a 15-year-old male on a dating app and through text message.
The conversations began in mid April and continued through May 13.
That's when Wiseman agreed to meet up with who he was expecting to be the 15-year-old and a friend.
When Wiseman arrived in the parking lot of an apartment complex, he was arrested by officers with the Rice Lake Police Department.
According to the complaint, Wiseman admitted to driving to the apartment complex with the intention of meeting with a 15-year-old male.
