BUFFALO COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man has died after losing control and crashing his motorcycle in Buffalo County.

It happened Saturday evening on state Highway 95 just east of County Road E in the Town of Glencoe.

The Buffalo County Sheriff's Department received the call just before 7:00 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle was 29-year old Nathan Spiering, he was the only person riding the bike.

Spiering lost control of his motorcycle while he was turning and hit a guard rail, throwing him off his bike.

Spiering was pronounced dead at the scene and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

He was traveling with two acquaintances also on motorcycles who reported they were riding in front of him at the time of the crash.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
