LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Investigators say a fire in La Crosse could have been started intentionally.
Around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, the La Crosse Fire Department responded to a fire at 609 5th Ave. South in La Crosse.
Within minutes, the department put out the fire.
Investigators say the fire started in the basement. They say a door that led to the basement was open when they arrived meaning someone might have intentionally started the fire.
No one was injured.
The home received minor to moderate damage including some smoke damage and a small amount of fire damage.
The La Crosse Fire Department and the La Crosse Police Department were on the scene.
The fire is under investigation.
