Traffic stop on I-94 leads to several drug-related arrests

OSSEO, Wis. (WEAU) -- Several people are arrested for possession of drugs after a traffic stop on I-94, near Osseo.

The Osseo Police Department said it happened around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14th.

An officer with the Osseo Police Department stopped a vehicle for going 91 miles per hour in 70 zone.

The officer had reasonable suspicion to call for a K-9 Unit, and Osseo Police Department K-9 Zara alerted to the vehicle.

The front seat passenger admitted to having marijuana in his pants.

After a search of the vehicle, 114 packages of K2 Spice (Synthetic Marijuana) and two ecstasy pills were found.

Several arrests were made for possession of synthetic marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of ecstasy, and a passenger was arrested on a warrant.

The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted with the traffic stop. This is on an ongoing investigation.
