JUNEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- Two people are killed and another is injured following a three-car crash Sunday morning.

It happened just after 10:00 a.m. on I-90 near Lyndon Station, a village in southeast Juneau County.

Two women, whose names have not been released, were heading east when their car hit a U-haul trailer, then crossed the median and crashed into a semi going west.

Both the driver and the passenger inside the striking vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names are not being released right now, but we do know the driver was an 86-year-old woman from Hayward, and her passenger was a 45-year-old woman, also from Hayward.

The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.

The crash remains under investigation.
