EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A piece of musical history is on display at UW-Eau Claire.

Two guitars from Prince's personal collection are displayed at Blugold Radio on the UW-Eau Claire campus on Thursday.

Two guitars from Prince's personal collection are currently at Blugold Radio on the UWEC campus. It's all because of the Prince tribute concert happening Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Schofield auditorium.

Scott Morfitt , station manager at Blugold Radio, said Prince has influenced musicians all over – including here in the Chippewa Valley.

"Prince left an indelible mark on this region as a very vocal Twin Cities resident,” Morfitt said to WEAU 13 News on Thursday. “His whole style created that scene which if you're a fan of the Eau Claire music scene you see that Twin Cities influence there thus you see the Prince influence."

The guitars will be on display Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Blugold Radio studio, near the entrance of UW-Eau Claire’s McIntyre Library.
