Police say Phillip Chism, 39, was arrested. He appeared in Dunn County Court Thursday afternoon. A judge issued a $10,000 cash bond.

Menomonie Police say they were called to a domestic incident in the 2700 block of Fryklund Drive Wednesday evening. Police received information that Chism was making threats to harm someone. When police arrived, they evacuated the area and blocked off street access to the neighborhood. Police then learned that Chism had barricaded himself alone in the apartment. Law enforcement gassed the apartment to get Chism outside. He was taken to an area hospital and then later taken to the Dunn County Jail.
