UPDATE: Celebration of life for Thorp native killed in Costa Rica plane crash

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- A memorial Mass and celebration of life are set to be held for Thorp native Amanda Geissler who died in a New Year’s Eve plane crash.

Geissler was one of 12 people killed in a Costa Rica plane crash that's still under investigation.

The memorial Mass will be held on Sunday 1:30 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls, followed by the celebration of her life from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Leinie's Lodge.

Any donations can be made to the "Amanda Geissler Memorial Fund".
