EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Eau Claire Police are on their way to deliver pop tabs to a Madison –area girl.

The department collected the pop tabs for Mercedes Alves. Alves started the fundraiser to collect the tabs in honor of her brother Gunner, with the proceeds benefiting the Ronald McDonald House. Her goal is to raise more than 6 million tabs.

Police had to drive the tabs down to Portage because they had so many community donations.
