CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- A Holcombe man charged with killing another man in Rusk County appeared in court in Chippewa County Tuesday on other charges.

Preston Kraft faces charges in Chippewa County including 2nd-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety. His bond was set at $2,000 cash.

He’s also charged with homicide in Rusk County in connection to the death of Robert Pettit.

The criminal complaint for Chippewa County says Pettit filed a complaint with the sheriff's department on April 28, saying that Kraft had threatened to kill him.

Pettit was found shot in the head in his driveway on May 18, less than a month later.

Kraft was captured and charged after a five-day search.
