MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A wanted man has been captured thanks to several area law enforcement agencies.

The Menomonie Police Department says Ted Lopez was captured Thursday.

Lopez was wanted for not showing up to his court appearances. Lopez had warrants for repeated sexual assault of a child. He was initially released on a cash bond in June 2017 and failed to show up to court in Dunn County.

It was later determined he was living in Minnesota under an alias for several months.

He was taken into custody without incident and is awaiting extradition back to Wisconsin.
