Solar Eclipse 2017 Information

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- There is a total solar eclipse coming to this area. Western Kentucky areas will have the longest eclipse view on August 21, 2017, while others will see a partial eclipse. NASA says Hopkinsville will have the longest viewing time of two minutes and 40 seconds.

The map below shows the likelihood of being able to view the eclipse based on historical cloudiness data from NOAA. The darker the dot the morel likely the chances for cloudiness.

The eclipse passes through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and North and South Carolina.
