Chippewa Valley Predators cancel 2018 season

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) The Chippewa Valley Predators announced on their website that they will not field a football team in 2018.

The Predators played adult amateur semi-pro football in the Northern Elite Football League and finished last year with a 4-4 record. In their 17-years of existence they had 128-53 record, having appeared in the leagues championship game the "Elite Bowl" several times, winning it once.

Here is the statement on the Chippewa Valley Predators Facebook Page:

"The Chippewa Valley Predators are saddened to announce they will not be playing football for the 2018 season. We are extremely grateful full for all the support of our community and fans for the past 17 years. It has been an unbelievable ride and something our former players and staff can take pride in. We hope that someday the Predators can regain our place as one of the most recognized names in Adult Amateur Football."
