It's a special twist on the typical meet and greet at Country Jam USA. Country superstars, the Zac Brown Band, cook for their fans instead.

The band and their chef Rusty like to buy local.

Saturday morning, Chef Rusty visited the farmer's market at Phoenix Park in Eau Claire.

"It is actually a different menu each location we go to," Chef Rusty said.

He likes to support local farmers as he picks out his ingredients.

"To me, that as a chef is very rewarding, meeting these families that like I said, all of their lives have been farming and us going around the country and promoting their farms and using their products is very important," he said.

Then he and his crew get to work cooking in their kitchen on wheels.

"We're in a 54 foot semi kitchen that we designed," he explained.

At every stop the band makes, Chef Rusty says 150 guests get to “Eat and Greet”.

"We wanna be closer to our fans. We would not be here without our fans so that's one way of giving back among a lot of other things we try to do," Chef Rusty said.

After a rainy day, the fresh cooked meal was just what their country fans needed to brighten their day.

It was really really good. Everything is wonderful,” Tom said.

“This food is fantastic. They did a fantastic job," Mary said.

The Zac Brown Band took the stage early at Country Jam beginning at about 7:30. Two acts were cancelled, but they did join the Zac Brown Band on stage for a song or two. The Lo Cash Cowboys played after the band.
