Two lucky country music fans got a special surprise on Thursday at Country Jam USA. They got to kick off day one with what may just be the highlight of their time at the music festival.

We had two meet and greets that would take two fans backstage to meet country artist Josh Kelley. So we took to the crowd looking for true country fans.

"I love Josh Kelley," Abbi Ritsch of Eau Claire said.

"I'm obsessed with Josh Kelley, seriously," her friend Kelsie Powers said.

We came across just the right girls. Kelsie and Abbi from Eau Claire were definite Josh Kelley fans.

"My favorite is Georgia Clay. I listened to that song for probably three weeks straight," Abbi said.

We took them backstage to meet the rising star.

"I'm josh. Nice to meet you, pleasure," he told them.

The country artist whose brother is Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum and who's married to actress Katherine Heigl said he was excited to be at jam.

"We're doing a Josh sandwich," he said with a smile, “This is what we do. We love to string together really great songs and put together a really great show and just give people a good time. That's what it's all about," Josh Kelley said.

Meeting Josh Kelley was definitely a good time and a great start to Country Jam USA for the two star struck fans.

“He's so nice," Kelsie said.

"I can't even talk right now. I'm not gonna wash my hand for a while," Abbi said after meeting him.

This was Josh Kelley’s first performance at Country Jam USA.
