Dozens of people showed up to listen in on plans for the future of their school district.

There was a public meeting at the Chetek High School Monday night, where people could learn about the possible consolidation with Weyerhaeuser. The school district gave a presentation, and people had a chance to ask questions. The district went through the pros and cons of consolidating. The school boards will have a joint meeting at July 15 to discuss a merge. The deadline for a decision is August 1.

Tuesday night, June 30, there's another meeting, this time at the Weyerhaeuser school at 7 p.m.
