On Tuesday, voters in an area school district approved paying more in property taxes to support their public schools.

The final results:
Yes 223
No 78
10 out of 10 precincts reporting

The Whitehall School District will get $450,000 dollars during the next three years.

The superintendent says the money will help the district stay ahead of costs for maintenance and instructional technology. He says the owner of a $200,000 dollar home will pay another $20 in taxes the first year.
