Sarah:
I spoke with Senator Clinton on the phone tonight, here's what she wanted to say to people in Western Wisconsin.
Sarah: What do you want to say to the people in Western Wisconsin who wanted to see you today?
Clinton: I'm grateful for the support people are working so hard.
Clinton was in Madison this evening, where crowds greeted her with cheers. I asked her if she was worried today's cancellation would cost her votes.
Clinton: I think everyone understood the weather has been rough for a couple of days. But I know people in Wisconsin understand, but I think the voters in Eau Claire and Western Wisconsin are looking at the long term.
They want to vote for someone who will be the best president on day one, who can begin to turn the economy around, to be the commander in chief to begin to bring our troops home from Iraq. I will do that and I think I have a track record of producing results for people.
Clinton: 31,000 kids in Wisconsin under the Badger Care program get health care, because I helped start the partnership known as the children's health insurance program that helps with delivering health care to kids, and we've got 10,000 Guard and Reserve members with health care because I went across the with a representative and senator to make sure that happened. So if you want someone with proven results who is committed to bringing results, I've been here many times before. I'll be here many times again and I will be a person you can count on in the White House.
Senator Clinton told me in these final hours before our polls open, she'll be making a lot of phone calls. She says her daughter will be here tomorrow and will be working to get every last vote until the polls close.
