A jailed Milwaukee alderman advances to the general election by winning his district's primary.

Michael McGee Junior ran his re-election campaign from his jail cell.

McGee is scheduled to go on trial next month on charges he conspired with two other men to have a teenager beaten.

McGee and attorney Milele Coggs will face off in the April first general election.
