Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama in Eau Claire Sunday said middle class Americans will not be better off under a John Mc Cain administration saying Mc Cain's policies are more of the same as George Bush.
Speaking before an invitation-only crown of about 300 at the Rod and Gun Park on Eau Claire's west side, Obama says he would roll back tax cuts for the wealthy, and cut taxes for the middle class, plus make college more affordable if he is elected president.
Obama said this is not going to be an easy election, and urged people to watch the Democratic convention to get a better understanding of what he stands for.
Obama flew into the city around mid-morning, and attended services at First Lutheran Church in downtown Eau Claire before arriving at the rally.
His next stop is in Iowa, reported to be in the Quad Cities.
He will accept his party's nomination Thursday in Denver.
