What if they held an election and no one voted?

State election workers expect only about 15% of Wisconsin's voters will go to the polls for Tuesday's primary election.

Political scientists say primary turnouts are traditionally low, especially this time around. There aren't any high-profile state races or pressing issues on the ballot and presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama are dominating the political world right now.

Still, 34 state Assembly and four congressional districts feature primaries. Voters who show will choose who fills open seats, whether some incumbents keep their jobs and who faces who for control of the state Assembly in the November general election.

Polls are open Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. statewide.
