There are lots of ways to get your house ready for the holidays with out going over your budget.

Joining us with some ideas is Laura Campbell of Southstone in Eau Claire.

You might have a lot of things at home and not realize it. Here's how to revamp your tree without buying a lot of ornaments.

Incorporate your own ornaments you have... balls, beads, old fashioned ones, beaded garlands.

Add different types of floral picks, be it holiday or any types.

Add ribbons, bells, or any type of beaded accent.

Another difference is the tree topper. A lot of people think it has to be the star or the angel. We like to take the picks fan them out for a dramatic look.

You can use existing things around your home that you take down to get ready for the holidays to enhance the theme of your trees.

Another thing, mix different types of garlands. You can use different ribbons you have at home and you don't have to use the same one. Take different pieces and string them throughout.

Instead of using a card holder, pop them in your tree on an angle or use old holiday cards as ornaments.

Another important aspect is using a size difference to add a bold feature to your tree. They're inexpensive for a box and you only want maybe five on a tree so they're a nice statement.

It's pretty much endless: You can use birds or butterflies. Just nestle them into your tree.

Ornaments range in price from $2 to $8 or grab 4 in a pack for $10. It's not that much expense, it's a little creativity to stretch out what you have already for a new look.

Here's how to give new life to old wreaths:

Don't throw out your old ones, just spend a little more money to spice it up.

Take a pick that's already put together, slide it in, add a bow and you have a whole new look.

A lot of people have wreaths with pinecones and same old velvet bow, if you get tired of it, add a bright red pick, add an ornament and a wired bow.

Just find a couple things you like and pop them on your old wreath.
