Steps:

In a clean, glass container:

1) Pour pebbles in (1 to 1 1/2 inches deep) for drainage

2) Layer in Horticulture Charcoal to prevent mold (brand name: Professional Charcoal by Schultz's)

3) Sphagnum Moss layer to prevent soil erosion

4) Soil

5) Plants (choose slow growing plants, or even cacti)

6) Mound up soil around plants

7) Embellish with shells, rocks, moss -- whatever you like!

8) Water once a month, and don't pour directly on soil, water from the sides

9) Do NOT put terrarium in full sunlight
