A couple of weeks ago we showed you how to take care of hardwood floors, but we discovered something else about the floor expert we talked to. Steve Odgren also has a passion for woodworking and has turned his love for turning wood on a lathe into something special.

In this week's Wandering Wisconsin, we go inside Heartland Hardwoods where he's creating communion chalices.

From the Heartland Hardwoods website:

Steve developed a love for wood turning at an early age when his grandfather let him turn a simple project on his lathe. Over the years, wood turning has become a passion. His interest in creating these first communion chalices deepened eight years ago when his wife entered seminary and became an ordained pastor. He extends an invitation to you to remember your loved ones sacramental milestone with a timeless keepsake.

If you want to find out more about the chalices, look under "related links" below. Also, the business is now offering woodworking seminars to the public.
