Body Recovered

Rescue workers from the Eau Claire Fire Department found the body of 21-year-old Jesse Miller just south of where he was last seen.

Miller's body was found at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, after a day and a half of searching.

Just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday, police say a man was standing in the water near the Lake Street bridge. Officers tried to persuade him to come out, but instead he continued to walk further from shore.

Police eventually lost sight of the man and fire authorities were called in to conduct a search of the river.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
