Thousands of people showed up at an event Sunday to see the world's most famous man on two wheels.
Lance Armstrong was in Madison for the Ride the Drive event. More than six miles of roads were closed for the six hour event.
Ride the Drive promotes people to use non-motorized transportation. Armstrong is a seven-time Tour de France winner. He spoke briefly to the crowd then went for a ride around the city.
The city says it plans to do more Ride to Drive events next year.
