A Lake Hallie man had quite a shock this afternoon after his house was stuck by lightning and caught fire while he was home.
It happened around 3 p.m. this afternoon in Larson's Landing near Lake Wissota. Jim Pinter says he was sitting in the bottom floor of his home when he heard a loud crash. He says it made the whole house shake and there was a flash. When he went upstairs and looked outside he saw smoke and some flames on the side of the house. Pinter says he called the fire department and they were able to quickly put out the flames.
He says there's damage to his walls and furnace but isn't sure how much damage was caused.
No one was hurt.
