Local business leaders, politicians, and educators met in Eau Claire Tuesday to discuss the future of Wisconsin's economy.
A forum called "Building the New Wisconsin Economy" was held at the Ramada Inn conference Center in downtown Eau Claire.
Through speakers and panel discussions, the program is intending to brainstorm ways to develop a stronger state-wide economy.
"Is it cutting taxes, is it the environment, is it education? Where do we need to put our emphasis to encourage companies to come into the state?" said Rep. Larry Balow (D), who spoke on a morning panel.
The morning sessions focused on economic development and state government, while the afternoon was spent with panelists discussing the best ways for preparing the next generation of workers.
