The saying goes once a Blugold always a Blugold, and that's certainly true this weekend for the UW-Eau Claire Homecoming Celebrations.
Students, alumni and even some possible future Blugolds turned out for the annual homecoming parade Saturday morning.
It featured the Blugold Marching Band and several other student organizations. It snaked its way from Lake Street to First Avenue to Water Street.
Students say it's the biggest day of the year for the campus area.
"Homecoming is our big school spirit day. It brings all of the community together to celebrate being a Blugold," says UWEC Student Jordan Benedict.
UW-Eau Claire Campus Police as well as the Eau Claire Police Department say they're cracking down on underage drinking and drunk driving during this weekend's homecoming festivities.
