Fire Destroys Five Mobile Homes
Police in Lake Hallie are trying to figure out who set a fire in or around a group of mobile homes at Steenberg Homes.
Firefighters were called to the business after someone driving on Highway 53 noticed the flames. The Lake Hallie Fire Chief said when his crew got there, nobody was around. He also said the fire started somewhere near the middle of a group of four mobile homes.
Officers will be talking to people living nearby in hopes of finding out more about who started the fire, and how it was started.
Four single mobile homes and one double-wide mobile home was destroyed in the fire. Two other mobile homes were damaged. Nobody was hurt.
