Kerry Vet in Eau Claire
Jim Rassman, the Vietnam Green Beret who says John Kerry pulled him from the Mekong River during a firefight, will campaign in Eau Claire Tuesday for John Kerry.
Rassman appeared in national political ads expressing his support for Kerry. Rassman, who was wounded in the battle, was in the water and says Kerry ordered his swift boat to turn around and pick up Rassman.
Rassman will be at the Democratic Party headquarters at 404 South Barstow in downtown Eau Claire at 10:45am on Tuesday, September 28, 2004.
Vice President Dick Cheney visits Eau Claire later the same day at rally late afternoon at Choice Products Company.
