Wisconsin school kids are used to, and even hope for, an occasional snow day, but blizzards are one thing and hurricanes another.
After four hurricanes in six weeks many Florida school kids are returning to classes without the proper supplies.
In hopes of helping out, five elementary schools in the Osseo-Fairchild district got together to collect everything from pens, paper and markers to hand soap and band-aids.
The kids collected the supplies over three weeks and were packing them up Thursday to be trucked to Port Charlotte, Florida, courtesy of Wal-Mart.
Schools in at least ten Florida counties are still closed indefinitely due to hurricane damage.
