Vice Presidential Debate Preview

Traditionally, the second name on the Presidential ticket has taken on the role of pointing out and detailing flaws and weak points in opponent's campaigns.

Political analyst John Frank says Dick Cheney has played the part of the party's attack dog, but the public has yet to see that from John Edwards. "Cheney is very comfortable in this role," says Frank. "Edwards, on the other hand is very uncomfortable in this role. Whether or not he can play it, we're not even sure at this point so we'll have to see."

Frank compares the vice presidential debate to a volleyball game, saying that the candidates will set up issues for the presidential candidates to utilize to full advantage in their debate on Friday.
