E.C. Hears "Westridge Village" Proposal
The Eau Claire City Council heard from a Madison-based developer last night on a request to rezone 209 acres on the city's west side for new housing units and commercial space.
The proposal is tentatively being called the "Westridge Village."
It calls for 700 new living units, 23 acres of commercial space, and about 20 acres of park land to occupy the space at the intersection of Highway 12 and Kane Road.
The council is expected to act on the rezoning request at its legislative meeting on Tuesday.
