MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) -- There were sleigh bells jingling and candy a-flying in downtown Menomonie Thursday night.
It was the 10th annual Winterdaze Parade on Main Street.
Santa -- Misses Claus and the reindeer were on hand to spread the Christmas cheer.
The streets were filled with themed floats -- including WEAU's holiday float, which was carrying familiar faces like meteorologist Matt Hoffman, Megan Lowry, and Sunrise's Meghan Kulig and Courtney Everett.
Organizers say the best part is seeing families having fun in the downtown area.
Joanie Dulin, the Executive director of Main Street Menomonie says, "we are so excited to see such a great event happening in downtown Menomonie. Lots of people come down, they visit Santa, they go into the restaurants, eat some supper and then come out and enjoy the parade, and we love that."
The night was capped off with a fireworks show over Lake Menomin.
