Singer Jon Bon Jovi opened up the Edwards rally with a couple of songs, but also urged those that came, that the country is ready for change.

John Edwards echoed those words, saying the current president has failed the middle class, and in doing so, has hurt the economy severely.

To a crowd of about 3,000 supporters, Edwards also seized on the news that the FBI is investigating no-bid contracts in Iraq that were awarded to a subsidiary of Dick Cheney's former company, Halliburton.
