Monroe County Human Remains & The Children
The father of two children whose mother's bones were found by a hunter isn't sure how he's going to break the news to them.
A hunter found the remains of Connie DeGeorge and Kale Kvistad Junior in rural Monroe County over the weekend. The couple had been missing since Easter Sunday 2002.
Authorities haven't determined how the two died, but say they may be homicide victims.
DeGeorge's ex-husband, Vince DeGeorge, lives in Arizona. He's had custody of their son and daughter, now ages 13 and seven, since his former wife disappeared.
DeGeorge tells the La Crosse Tribune he and the children's mother had been married 14 years before their divorce in 2001.
