Elected Leaders Accused of Breaking the Law

Five of Polk County's elected leaders are being accused of violating Wisconsin's open meetings law.

A special prosecutor says members of the county board's finance committee are accused of discussing the possible sale of the Golden Age Manor without notifying residents.

The head of the finance committee says he doesn't think the group did anything wrong.

The five committee members are scheduled to appear December 4th in Polk County circuit court on the matter.
