If you're looking to send your thanks to a member of our armed forces this holiday season -- you've got a unique option.
The pentagon is asking you to text message soldiers as part of your thanksgiving remembrances this year.
It's part of the giving thanks initiative from the department of defense.
Now, the text messages won't actually show up on a phone overseas. The messages will be relayed into a military computer that service members can then access.
The pentagon says the major cell phone carriers are on board with the plan.
