Safe City Study

Residents of the state's bigger cities can feel safe.

That's according to an analysis that ranks Milwaukee as the only Wisconsin city among the nation's top 100 dangerous cities.

Milwaukee ranks as the 36th most dangerous city in the U.S., with Racine coming in at 167th, Green Bay at 245th and Madison 269th.

The 14th annual "City Crime Rankings: Crime in Metropolitan America" is based on the FBI's September 24 crime statistics report and ranks.

The report looked at 378 cities with at least 75,000 people.

According to the analysis, the top three dangerous cities are Detroit, St. Louis and Flint, Michigan.
