North Central Wisconsin Snow
Up to eight inches of snow in north central Wisconsin has snowmobilers hoping to ride by the end of the year.
Snowmobile clubs in Marathon County are starting to groom trails. A couple more inches are needed before the trails can be used.
Skiers and snowboarders headed for the slopes with a good base of fresh powder at Granite Peak Recreation Area in Rib Mountain.
The week between Christmas and New Year's Day is the busiest time of the season at Granite Peak and other ski hills.
Up to three-thousand people are expected to visit Granite Peak each day during the week after Christmas.
