More Flying From Eau Claire

The Chippewa Valley Regional Airport makes up a modest percentage of traffic into and out of the Twin Cities International Airport, but numbers are on the rise.

Mesaba Airlines, the regional carrier serving Eau Claire, says passenger boardings were up by six percent from October, 2003 to October, 2004.

About 25,000 passengers have now taken flights from Eau Claire so far this year. And that's up by 22% over last year at this time.

Mesaba makes five roundtrips to the Twin Cities daily.
