NEWSCENTER 13 CONSUMER ALERT:
General Motors is recalling more than 98,000 Cheverolet and G.M.C. pickups, vans, and sport utility vehicles that have a potential problem with steering and braking systems.
The problem involves a hydraulic pump driveshaft that can break, making it difficult to steer and brake.
G.M. plans to send notices to owners next month.
Dealers will make free repairs.
All the vehicles are from the 2000 model year.
The recall includes the following vehicles:
C/K and Silverado Pickup
Yukon X.L. Sport UTE.
