Wisconsin Veterans Receive Free Business Training

The state Department of Veterans Affairs is offering free classes to vets who want to start their own businesses.

The FastTrac New Venture program is a nine-week course that teaches everything about starting a new business.

About 50 Wisconsin vets have graduated from the program, which started in 2003.

Department training supervisor Joe Bertalan says those vets have opened I-T companies, marketing firms and home inspection businesses.

The next FastTrac course begins March ninth at the Tomah Veterans Medical Center.
