The military's highest award is the Medal of Honor, but here are several other decorations that one can achieve for many different types of distinguished service.

Master Sergeant Kit Warner, originally from Augusta, has been awarded the Bronze Star, a medal given either for acts of combat heroism or for meritorious achievement or service. He tracked Iraqi tactics as well as monitored all the infrastructure, like railroads, oil, water and electricity, while in Iraq all of last year.

Warner says he received the award for his ability to gather information and brief the commander of the multi-national ground forces in Iraq.
