Another Investigation Involving Menomonie High School

Police are conducting an investigation into vandalism that occurred over the weekend at the high school.

School officials say sometime late Sunday or early Monday, two sets of entrance doors had windows smashed, and the tennis shed and its contents were burn to the ground.

Driver's Education behind the wheel sessions have also been canceled because the school's three vehicles had windows smashed and extensive damage to the roofs and paneling.

"The total estimated cost at this time $32,500 in repair cost," says district administrator Jesse Harness. "That's just an astounding amount of damage."

This is the second incident in as many weeks, but officials say they don't believe the two events are connected.

Last week, a student was arrested for leaving a letter on a school printer that threatened harm towards other students.
