Six members of the Wisconsin National Guard's 139th Mobile Public Affairs Unit are home from their tour of duty in Iraq. After a week of briefings, they were finally released from their duties in the guard.
During their twelve-month journey, they were stationed in Mosul, a city that stood up to many insurgent attacks this winter.
Unit member Sarah Roeske said she'll never forget some of her experiences.
"Every time we lost a soldier, it stands out in our mind. We always had to go and cover the memorial services, so that's the one thing I will never forget from this experience."
The national guard expects three more units to return home in the next few weeks.
