National Adoption Month just happens to be upon us as there's a need for more adoptive families.
Local social service providers are hoping Saturday’s adoption fair in Eau Claire will help get the word out to parents considering adoption of a child.
The fair is part of a national campaign to spread awareness and recruit foster and adoptive families for the thousands of children needing homes. It offered people information about the different aspects of adoption from choosing an agency to money matters.
"It can be a long process and a lot of times people just don't know where to start. There's so many options out there it can be overwhelming, so we try to make it as easy as possible and come together on a day like this and just provide information to them."
