DNR representatives were holding a public forum on proposed changes in landfill rules statewide.. but more than two- dozen residents wanted them to also answer specific questions about the Onyx Sevenmile Creek Landfill just east of Eau Claire... Even though the expansion has already been approved by county, city and state officials.
Those in attendance plan said they plan on fighting as long as they can.
The DNR and Onyx will host another public meeting at the Seymour Town Hall next month to give residents another opportunity to voice their concerns over the landfill expansion.
